Internal Egg Blockage?

We received a Rhode Island Red hen from a friend about a year ago. She seemed healthy, until a few weeks ago.
We saw that her abdomen was extremely bloated (like a taut water balloon) and she was having to waddle around, and she was breathing very heavily (some of our other hens recently had this same breathing trouble), so we isolated her. Her poop was normal (a little small) but now it is runnier.
We tried to give her a bath in epsom salts so we could try to help her pass whatever may be causing her to bloat this much, but then her breathing got worse and we had to stop. What's more, when we were bathing her we found that she was covered in little white mites--something that has never happened with any of our flock members.

We are not sure what the problem is. Egg blockage? Respiratory problems? Are the mites causing this? Or maybe a combination? We don't know what to do.

Please help, thanks!

Thank you! She seems like she's walking a little better today, and her breathing also seems better, we'll hope for the best.
