I can still hear the baby trying to peck the shell inside, by yesterday I heard peeps today there are none... I knokw he internally pipped AT LEAST 24 hours ago (the egg was rolling around before that a bit for a couple days) so maybe longer. He has not made any progress at all on the shell... Imvery worried that he is running out of air since there is no external pip hole... Should I make him an airhole or wait it out longer? If so how much longer?

I would create a small safehole or air hole for the chick to make sure it has enough air! Try tapping the egg and see if baby pecks or moves. It may be resting?

Oh yes! So sorry I forgot to update!!! So this morning he had made no more progress towards getting out so I wetted the I nermembrane so check the veins and they had all referred so I slowly chipped away at the shell and outer membrane giving him enough room to get free much easier. (This was my first time assisting a hatch and I waited to all the proper timelines and made sure everything was absolutely safe before I proceeded in steps) I set him back in the incubator and came back from my shower and he was halfway out! I then got ready and went to a doctor appointment, and came back to find him out of the egg but still sorta dragging the shell by his chord. The chord broke about an hour later but it started bleeding a bit so I "cupped" him (set him in a cup to let it finish closing so he wouldn't bang it around learning to walk) it has since stopped bleeding and he is starting to fluff and stand up and been take a few waddles that look like walking! Its all thanks to this amazing site and all the great people and information and resources that I was able to learn how to assist this guy and he has only improved since

OK thank you I still hear pecking but no peeps at all today all I want to do is a safehole because I'm worried he doesn't have enough air :/

Well I made a breather hole and I was right on where his beak was with the internal pip, he was very dry in there but gave me a peep once I saw his beak, the egg shell was super hard I don't think he could!d have broken it on his own. I pulled back the outer membrane and it is leathery and dry, and so he now has about a half inch or so hole and is wrapped in wet paper towels back in the incubator :)

Well he is definitely peeping again and is starting to really respond to my beeps towards him or a tap on the incubator window so I'd definitely say he seems to be doing much better than he was! He is pushing around and then taking breaks and is still moist inside the egg as far as I can see but he seems to be regaining strength better so I'm crossing my fingers and glued to the window lol
