This little fella Is my best chance at getting that low tail, he Is over colored so I'll be pairing him with 2 or 3 of my slightly overmelanized lady's and pray they throw some nice cockerels.

See his chest leakage,looks nicely coloured, not over coloured to me.
Mine average between 65 to 70+ grams. New layers always lay smaller, that's normal. The eggs will get bigger as the hen lays a while.
Heh, well, birchen are just bcm with silver instead of red, only a few tweaks different from those. There's not much of a birchen Marans thread, so I just follow along with this one, as everything besides the difference of silver or red is the same.I see what you mean, i was thinking you were talking about bcm. It has been very slow on here lately. How exciting! Do you have any pens to keep chickens at your new place?is everyone sleeping these days?
I am going to start some works in my new place in the country. I will do some things before I get the permits. that way I hope to move there around christmass.
