Yeah all my birds will come back home with me after the show. They dont keep them.

I tried to get a few pictures of my Marans today. They weren't cooperating very well so I just took a lot of pictures lol. There were a couple Hawks in the area so they wouldn't leave the bush but they played ring around the Rosie with me. It's Hercules (green boy) and his 4 ladies.

He is looking handsome! His ladies too. Hawks have been bad in my area as well. I lost my only SDW cockerel that I raised to them within the past week.

The woods looks so tranquil too.
Looks like he is doing a good job at protecting the girls.

He is looking handsome! His ladies too. Hawks have been bad in my area as well. I lost my only SDW cockerel that I raised to them within the past week.

I have a couple young SDW boys you could have. My hen hatched 2 chicks and don’t ya know they’d both be boys.


I got 3 BCM eggs today. I think one may be from yesterday, it was kinda buried in the shavings. All 3 were a bit lighter than the ones I had been getting, but darker than the speckled one from yesterday. So I think I have a few girls finally kicking in.

I think some people do sell birds at shows but not all of them do. No worries!

Are yours standard or bantam? I raise the standard OEG. I still have the cock, two original hens, and 3 pullets left so Im hoping to raise plenty out of them in the spring. Its very kind of you to offer! If I were to lose my cock bird I may take you up on that!

Beautiful! I truly love the SDW pattern. But mine are bantams.

I’m actually selling my whole flock. I had some pretty good quality ones for a while, then a friend gave me a beautiful blue brassy hen, and I was stupid enough to breed her, and keep some of her daughters. Then as I sold some, and my pen ended up with too much mix. I should have known better!! I still have a couple full SDW hens, but without getting rid of all the mixes, I’m just making matters worse, so I’m getting out of them completely. I need the room for my new pigeons anyway. Lol
