is hatchet (?) keel bone/breast genetic?

Crooked keel is hereditary, likely recessive as I have had 2 birds with good keels throw crooked keeled birds, and Ive had a bird with a crooked keel throw birds with good keels.

Hatchet breast is just a lack of breast depth and mass in the breast of the bird. Making it look like like the breast has been sliced off with a hatchet instead of nice and round and full as it should. Does that make sense? Lacking in breast depth throws off a bird's type and makes it look triangular shaped instead of rectangular as a Marans should.

then I guess some of my marans have prominent keel bone, not hatchet breasts. they look good but I can feel the bone.
