BLC cockerel 7 weeks old ,sired by BB over Amore half sibling .
he is wide .tall on his feet with a short back . he is a cull .
I m going to end this short back problem . all my future breeding cockerels will be Medium to fast feathering type and long back too .

BLC cockerel #3 .sired by BM X Dalakhania .hatched from very dark egg #7. he is 10 weeks old. nice hackle marking ,big boy he is not as long as I like then but he is ok not short either .
this guy will used to breed dark egg layer . first he has to grow and mature .

,Splash pullet 6 weeks old .Sire Big Blue .Dam Dalakhania .half sibling breeding .from a same sire different mother ,the mother hens are related any way .
she is wide but short ,
there is a difference between this pullets Sired by BB and her half sister from BM . BLC pullets is long and early feathering type .
Dalakhania X BM is better pairing than DAL X BB .
let wait and see witch one lay dark egg like her mama .

those girls are lucky they inherit they Dam place .she is queen ,they are princesses . they are not going any where .will be used for Dalakhania line breeding . so far they have every thing correct .wait for the egg colour .

i need to multiplu Dalakhania progeny before I start culling ,them .I don t I will ever reach that point ,she is special bird .every one of her progeny will be used .just for dark egg .
I need to lock dark egg layer line in it pure state before mixing it with other line s.

they come from big choks .correct body type and early feathering type to . big frame will take time to mature .
the Blue is all ready ranked #1 cockerel in the farm .let see how long will hold this palce before somebody else will passes him .

they are going to be great help to restore the proper marans body type in my flock .they eggs is not that dark but big and oval shape ,good enough for me .

Just got home from Thanksgiving dinner and found a new pullet egg in one of the nest boxes. A very lovely egg from one of the daughters of Duke that is free ranging.
