I had 15 chicks hatch out of 20 eggs set. Pretty good being my Incubator got unplugged. Only 3 out of 6 of Pearl's eggs hatched. Only 5 out of the 15 are Black Copper. Two BC are from Pearl and 2 from original roosters pen.

I had 1 more black hatch from Pearl. So 16 hatched out of 20.

Hubby purchased FBCM and blue splash Marans hatching eggs... unfortunately out of all the eggs that were shipped only 4 eggs developed and of those only 3 hatched... anyway two we guessing are FBCM and the other one we think is a Splash.

A serious bummer nearly a dozen eggs did not develop at all, but 3 live healthy chicks are better than no chicks... anyway just jazzed we have a few Marans.

Congratulations! Shipped eggs are difficult to hatch. They can get scrambled during shipping. Postal service is not egg friendly most of the time.

you ve done a great job .they look good in they new pen .. a lot of room for them .
