Same comments for Ace! These two cockerels are like book ends. You could start a clan breeding program with them.

I am going out tonight and put leg bands on them! It is getting way too hard at times to tell them apart. Lol

Keep this bird safe and we need to have a get together. Did I read in one of your post that you were processing cockerels. They did not look this good I hope! TOM ps I really need a couple of the Blue hens

This is Ace. Ace is smaller than Black Jack. It is getting harder to tell them apart.
I need to leg band them.

I did process 4 BLC cockerels plus Blaze. There are some nice BLC cockerels left out there in the middle batch. They are 15 and 16 weeks old now. I think! I have them up for sale. I have 2 splash pullets that are 7 weeks old now. I could probably part with a couple of them.

I leg band mine at hatch. Different colors for different traits so I can track their development.

They have wing bands. I don't have enough colors in leg bands for that many.

we are not breeding to please peoples .we are breeding to SOP standard .
SOP call for uniform rich red copper from the hackle to the back and lancets . NO Mahogany neither gold .
Mahogany part will be the the shoulder marking .
Ace has a perfect copper and body pattern .

So we are now at 7 weeks old. This is line #2. The ones that looked like tall skinny giraffes at a few days old. Their plumping up nicely. I like their leg color and feathering. Nice blue eyes.
There are 9.
2 cockerels and 7 pullets.

These are the two cockerels. One is bold and friendly and the other one stands back and observes.

Very sloooow feathering.
