I decided to take 20 week pictures of Black Jack and Ace. Below is Black Jack and I will put Ace in another post.

we are not breeding to please peoples .we are breeding to SOP standard .
SOP call for uniform rich red copper from the hackle to the back and lancets . NO Mahogany neither gold .
Mahogany part will be the the shoulder marking .
Ace has a perfect copper and body pattern .

This is Ace. Ace is smaller than Black Jack. It is getting harder to tell them apart.
I need to leg band them.

Ace is looking good too .love his body marking and rich uniform copper .
his tail is a little on long for my liking .SOP call for a short tail . but good angle and great form .

love to see this pullet fully grown ,has all the great marans traits . that how they should look like at that age .short ,chunky .wide .long and well feathered .

There is 3 BC and 1 BLC pullet. The rest are younger.
