look s like it is very hot where you are .keep your chooks cool.I am going to try to grab pictures of my 2 girls.one has much better color than the other
very hard to tell .to know exactly if your marans rooster carry the yellow gene ,you need to be 100% the chicks are his . you have to pen him with your hens and hatch few eggs from each one to check for the yellow legs .View attachment 3615835View attachment 3615836View attachment 3615834Copper showing in both BCMs. This is good because it means they are both pure, but bad because it means the rooster carries a yellow leg allele to pass it on to one of them. Can’t tell if the red in the first one is rooster colouring or rust, think it’s rust. Both Blues showing no sign of copper (or silver) yet. Ignore the leg bands on my thumb, I was just putting them on them!
