love her style low to the ground with a fine full tail
she is Sydney flock .

she is chunky alright .
my selection for short legs ,long body and chunky type has paid off .all the young stock or most of them in Sydney have a similar body type . all chunky . laying nice dark eggs too I ve been told bty Troy s . I will see when I get them up here ,this is they second year laying .they laying like there is no tomorrow ,good for me .
look at this splash hen

dark head ,her mama was laying very dark eggs 7/8 I lost her last year to the flood .

this young rooster 2020 are all Shamrock s a dark silver/golden cuckoo rooster

son s over a Blc hens .they are massive ..

I like the one in the last photo ,Dark Blue silver/golden cuckoo very long /wide with a low tail angle ., they are all tall except Rashad .
here they sire Shamrock he is a F1 cross from my old cuckoo line{ I made years ago and sold }.to a new import English silver cuckoo .
he is tall and big

She was lovely. Splash is my favorite. Sorry you lost her.
I have been through a flood myself from a bad hurricane. Floods are awful. I didn't loose any animals but did loose my home, truck and car. Hard to start over but we did it. Took a long time.

my friend is getting eggs from a guy that has marans only (different colours). I hope she will hatch some so some day I will get chicks from her. especially black silver as nobody has them here.

I don't know why I am afraid of flood so only plots up the hill I looked for. I have never been near flooded area but still I don't like plains. my ancestors mostly were mountain people so it might be in my blood.

I would be afraid of the sea if I lived so close to it, too, not just of flooding from the mountains. Can they get tsunami waves in the Mediterranean? I would also live halfway up the mountain, but not right next to a creek. There are too many violent spring streams when the snow melts.

no tsunami here but very humid near the sea in winter.

that is god you never been near a flooded area it is horrible when is flooded and it is horrible after the flood need a lot cleaning to do .
one reason I like this new place because it is high on the ontain . we have to cross 3 bridges to go to the town ,so when the river water get to high we are cut off .
the way they build the country bridges in Australia is not good at all ,the upper part of the bridges is only couples metre from the river bed .so any heavy rain and the bridges are flooded .
