Candle Day 7 is tomorrow. Any insight as to what I'm looking for as far as weight loss? I weighed every egg and marked them each.
If I need to adjust the humidity how much should I go either way? Or do I just adjust a tad then candle again at day 10?

Any advise is very much appreciated.

She looks stunning. As red as a hen’s comb comes, contrasting the perfect black and nice dash of copper. My Esme was 30 weeks when she started laying but her face isn’t as red as yours. Chanel was 25 weeks (I just discovered when checking now that Esme laid her first egg a year after Chanel (her mother) laid hers, minus two days) and Natasha was 29 weeks. Based on your pullet’s face I assume they may start earlier than mine did, maybe 24 weeks. I’d expect them to lay any time now anyway, good luck.

Thanks! She was right at 22 weeks and 2 days from hatch. Of course she laid it on the ground instead of in the nest boxes.
For an hour or two before she was squawking her head off.

Any update on how these eggs are progressing?

So far, so good. I have a graph I found on weight loss and am referencing and at day 8 I candled, have a few questionable but left them in and Joannies are just too dark to see anything. I weighed them all at day 11 but didn't candle.

Am going to candle tonight hopefully. I'll try to get some pics

The pullets have started laying. We’ve gotten 3 eggs in 4 days. The latest one is lighter colored. Yesterday’s dark one is a beauty. The roll away nest boxes are working. And they laid the last 2 in the nest box.
