I've never read the books, but I've read that while searching the internet on Marans before. lol

Debbie Stuhr of Heaven Sent Ranch has sold all but a trio of her beautiful Marans. I had always wanted to buy some eggs from her, but never could bring myself to spend that kind of cash on shipped eggs. I wish I lived closer, I would have bought her entire flock of LP's. lol

Oh no..... sorry to hear that. I thought about buying from her too. We have good birds! Chooks Man says so. We just have to be patient and we will have exactly what we want.

I know! I don't think I would ever be able to bring myself to drop $175 on a dozen eggs anyway. lol. I have thought about it, but then my rational self shakes the impulsive part of myself and stops me.

I think we are lucky to have the chickens we do. You have such nice pullets and cockerels. You are very good at the breeding/record keeping stuff. Next year I will be saying, I wish I had some of Kayla's birds!

Absolutely we have good birds! That was before I acquired the birds I have. I am satisfied with the birds I have, I just want more of them. I am eager to hatch many pullets.

And their flaws can be corrected. I will have plenty to keep me busy. I am satisfied with the egg color I'm getting from my LA's so far. I'm really looking forward to seeing eggs from my FRF pullet.
