yeah it is a cull .
the french call this type of earlobe ( Sable') not red neither white . almost grey.

Thank you! I wish I could've gotten a picture of the other pullet but I swear, she knows when I have the camera and goes in to hiding lol. She is sister to the pictured pullet. The cockerel is unrelated to the girls I can't wait for the girls to start laying so I can see their egg color and hopefully breed some great babies.

well happy for you .
they are not related , so you have there a gorgeous trio to start your line .
they ll bred well together .and they ll produce a gorgeous BCM progeny ,specially body marking and body type .

The Good=
Great long body type
nice head .
well colored orange eyes
good size wattles
gorgeous red ear lobe
well colored beak ,solid and short
nice neck solid and thick plus well colored ,a little darker that all.
well colored eras tufts .
long flat back
tail is missing ,we have to wait .look to me is going a good one specially the angle .
deep chest ,enough bird @ the front .
well colored and feathered shanks
nice color shoulder need more red .still young
his wing well tight .held close to his body .great
gorgeous plumage type .free from any fluff and impurity .

BAD thing = no many
his copper is a little too dark presence of some Mahogany in there
his comb is good from the front but not @ the end .not lifted enough from the back of his head .

mated to the pullet you have ,he ll throw great BCM progeny 100%.

a pullet in those 2 photos is not a same one .
the top pullet has a more complete coppery hackle

the pullet on the bottom photo has less hackle marking and longer tail .
she is great pullet .has all the good marans traits
love her body type .break like
lovely head
good eyes
nice hackle
solid neck
long back
lovely tail angle a little bigger but that is OK
deep chest
short on feet ,great asset
well colored and feathered shanks
love the purity of here black plumage and a darkness of her under fluff .

I do see any major fault .

From my perspective, those look red, if you are referring to ear lobes. The hens have a very pleasing shape to my eye.
Dark eyes can be fixed by mating with appropriate cock, same with feathered shanks.

Looking at the pictures, I was wondering if they pulled a switch on me , but I swear, I only saw 1 at a time and thought it was the same one lol. Well, I guess I got both of them pictured then. Thank you for taking the time to critique them for me!
