Tell me.... do Marans really taste better than other chickens?

100% .I do not eat any other chooks meat .
the marans cull need to be finished properly before they get processed .

only la Bresse and la Fleche chooks breed can compete with a marans breed . every thing else is in the back seat .

My Marans cockerels we ate were very tender. They definitely tasted better than store bought chicken, but I cant say they tasted any better than say my neighbors orphington cockerels we also butchered.

Here is #12's comb (FRF x LA).

Its hard to believe #12 is the biggest. I would have sworn she was the smallest.

A friend of mine on facebook breeds Bresse chickens. They claim they dress really well because of the white plumage and white skin. They are a meaty bird and make a nice table bird I reckon.

Can you imagine ordering a particular type of chicken in USA? Drive up to KFC and ask for a bucket of Bresse!
