I don’t show, but I do sell hatching eggs. The reason I was hoping to use this cockerel was for the dark egg he came from. A solid 7. I don’t have any pullets/ hens with light hackles, they’re all the proper colour

in this case you can breed from him for your self as your line to maintain the dark egg genes .
do not sale fertile eggs from him to peoples .use other cockerel .

is he the only one hatched from dark egg#7?

the eggs color in your Avatar is gorgeous .any cockerel from them will be worthy to be a breeder for a dark egg gene .

Specially if they have a better copper quality .

I like the 2 on the far right and the single on the right. Looks like mine. This is from a pullet that has been laying for about 6 weeks

Thank you. Nice eggs. You have some beautiful eggs. The cameras just can't do them justice though. It is frustrating. My best dark layers are still on strike.

By the way the eggs you like are from a very black hen with a hint of a mahogany hackle.
