I never give ,neither sale my pullets before they start laying and know witch one is laying what .
take a lot time and cost to reach the POL so few more months will no do me any harm .

She lays an egg just like her dam.. lots of dark speckles. She is an LA pullet.

lovely color and seen .
I prefer the specked one . especially when they get dark #7/#8 .unbeatable at show .

breed from this pullet regardless of her faults ,just to keep the speckles genes in your flock and select for the conformation latter . when the spackles/dark eggs genes strat to breed true .

she look to me she has a nice comb . need to be checked this pullet .

She is very candid about how she continues to have those dark eggs, she inbreeds. Since many of us have pretty dark eggs I think if we concentrate our program to that end we would have the same success.

you are alright RedBank ( no so often hahahaaaaaaaaaaa)
she inbreed her stock ,nothing added to them ,but she is very hard at culling . high standard . serious selection to keep her line at the top all the time .My Hat to that Lady .we need more of her .

marans chooks if they are inbred properly we ll see wonderful chooks . lovely body pattern , gorgeous dark eggs and great tasty meat .

Yes RedBank and Kfelton
your BCM stock has the LP genes in them .so theoretically if they where to be inbred those LP genes will recombine together to produce a similar looking LP chooks .not a 100% pure LP but will look like one .and will lay really ,really dark eggs .
4 generation of selection inbreeding ,and you ll amazed about your chooks .

here some photos of Tobambezi ( Zambezi X Toby ) young rooster 0ne week shy from his first birth day .
Big solid rooster . his comb let me down . a little bigger and has a double point at the end .
I can live with that .
his colors are only getting better every day .still on the dark side .

this is a body type I want to breed true in all my marans cockerels all varieties ..

couple weeks to go and the eggs from his pen will go to the incubator . he is penned with his half sister ( all sired by my Zambezi ) line breeding half sibling method of breeding .
nothing will be added to this line tell the end of my farming days .
a same pullets will be mated to Norambezi ( his half brother) and Massai Mara etc.....
the pullets come from 6 hens and the cockerel are from 3 hens .

I ll cross this pullets to Djabel s sons K2 and Everest to form other parallel line

years of work is going to be put in to form the SUBLIME BCM LINE.

I do not buy chooks any more but I make them by they 1000 all marans
