International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

Hi every one .
I have some news .No good ,no bad just news .
I have a buyer for my farm .wasn t for sale ,but some one want to buy it as i it is ,chooks coop and run and every thing in there .NOT the chooks ,no way .
the price is offering is very nice .maybe I ll take it and move the chooks back to the old farm or buy new one .

what do you guys think ,should I take it or no ?

I think I agree with everyone else. If you are not emotionally attached to your place I would do it if the money was well worth starting over on a new piece of property. If someone came today and offered me a good price for my home and land I would be out looking for a bigger piece of land in a heartbeat. Good luck in whatever you decide! :)

I see some very nice birds here! I wouldn't mind seeing them walking around in my own yard. I agree with Keith that you are definitely moving in the right direction. :)

My oldest grow outs are missing feathers too. They are constantly in a power struggle for the king of the universe position. Griffin does his best to keep them in line but they are a rowdy bunch. Still working on making a bachelor pen. And my new knife came in that I ordered to butcher them with. :D

We have eggs!!
Of course I was traveling at the time so I missed the big day, but my husband let me know. We have 4 now so far, pictured here with a store bought egg for comparison; looks like a pretty good colour :)

@RedBanks .good birds .

I prefer the cockerel on the right ,behind the large one .
I can see ,he is a little smaller but well put together ,every thins is well place .
I like the way his stand ( very important to how the chooks stand .Elegance and strength )
I like his comb small doesn t over power his head .well proportioned
love his tail .small ,thin and pointed ,great Angle..

late maturing type .

the cockerel on the left ,a small one has a good body shape and great tail .I think is the best tail in all the cockerel .

Woo Babies back on the farm! 5 FBCMs and 4 Salmtalers from GFF. a little concerned about this one though. Maybe just a jet-lagged chick?

He keeps dropping his head and doesn’t have the best balance but won’t stop chirping. Not sure what to do here :/
Other chicks are active and seem at a good temp.

very nice .
the white one is tired .
in the future when you get chicks ,,the first thing you have to do is to give them water with sugar .that will give them energy .
travelling is too much for them ,they just hatched .

Just another indicator of the quality of what you do and who you are. Do what is right for Chooks man! Whatever that might be. Just as long as you have a computer and you don't lose touch with us! Always thinking about myself. Ha Ha

thank you .

they are after the chooks set up . the chooks ,the breeding program ,the genetic note for each strain .incubator .Laptop and chooks man with it( no more chooks man RedBanks hahahaaaaaaaaaa) . there is 2 acres penned as chooks run half of the orchid . pure organic plum .no fertilizer neither pesticide just water and chooks .
I told them not selling the chooks no way ,I sale every thing else .my chooks have no price . maybe I sale them the lower ranking chooks ,not my breeders .
