This white on the ear lobe disappeared on Tony2. Hope it does on this one too. I believe @chickengr said she had it disappear on one of her cockerels too.

Well here they are. All 14, 12 Marans, 11 blacks and1 blue and two crosses from my flock. My temporary brooder for tonight. All are healthy and EXTREMELY active. First time hatching in over 20 years, so much fun.

Nice bird with great body type and posture! if not for the straw colored halo, he'd be a super bird! Hard to tell where his tail will end up, but if not for you, he would make a great breeder for someone working on his strengths.

Thank you.... he is no longer a cull. That is how much they change. He is not 5 months old yet. He is really something. Type is harder to come by than color. Color for me has been no problem. He reminds me of Antonio at that age. Antonio is the one in the middle.

I now have 12. i did an assist on the zipped one and lo and behold he had curled toes and maybe other issues. Wasn't surprised by that tho. Happy with 11 but can't help but to be a little disappointed seeing all the other unhatched eggs, lol. I'll remove all the chicks today and let them sit a couple more days. I have no doubt the packaging and quick delivery, with probably good handling, assisted my good fortune.

give them some sesame seeds. they fixed curled toes in my case. they should be given within the first 3 days. the sooner the better.

it disappeared on some pullets too. I wonder if it was some kind of anemia or similar.
