Hi RedBank I knew the glow of they color was caused the sun. does happen to me all the time, specially with a birchen make then look more of the straw than silver.

He was, we were in a hawk alert. Happens about 10 times a day. They all go crazy. Alert and Noisy.

no hawks here but my chickens are crazy and noisy anyway, lol. they woke me up before 6 am. I tend to feed them at 8 am all year round so that I can wake up and have my coffee in peace.

didn't see any white feathers on my cockerel's feet today

Hi Chickengr nice if you can get some fertile eggs from the new breeder new blood line you can mix t with your in the future.

better if you put your pullet with the older rooster not her brother.

mating a sister chook to her brother cockerel for ones is not that bad like the people think is actually good to see what sort of recessive genes they carry .

I use this technique my self to multiply a rare strain before I ll cross them to some thing else .

my chooks don t let me have my first coffee in peace .they are on my case at 5 am .especially the Roosters.actually just the roosters the hens are angles tell they lay they eggs .than is different story, they turn to show the rooster how much noose they can make.

guess they is the way of life with a chooks.

Hi RedBank can you please post some photos of the pullets and hens you got ?

So I ll have a better idea to help you to pair them with a roosters.

Don t forget when you have a chance I still need a good photos of cockerel 3 .catch him when he s standing nice showing his posture.

Quote: I wish my chickens gave me that time. They start crowing at 0530. I feed them at 0630. The bad part is they free range until 2100. I have to get them all settled for the night and by the time I get in it is late.

Congrats on the "No White Feathers!".

Hi Chooks Man,

I took some pics tonight. I didn't know you were going to ask for pics of hens but I took a couple.

I can't load the pics, I have been having trouble with pics on BYC all week but tonight I got an error message I have never had before.

I also took a pic of Coq 1. I will get some better pics tomorrow.

This is Pullet 1 (Gabby, my favorite) She is very sweet and talkative. When I took these pictures I didn't know I was going to post them. I will take more tomorrow.
