well, my chickens get up early and my roos crow sometimes all night (I guess if the rats are around). but as I don't have predators my coops are open so I don't need to get up to let my chickens out. they are totally free birds, lol.

Hi i have some bcms and also a blue, i just hatched out about 50 eggs and most of them are blues? The hens are all blacks and i thought the roo was black too..., black an black makes?? I mean theyre cute and all but I have deposites for blacks! Are blues more rare?

here a photos of Darwin 2 .nice type and great color . the parent stock come from imported eggs few year back from France . this line is well known in this country as the Darwin line .

I have been so worried about picking a cockerel that I have not payed much attention to the pullets. It is hard not to pay attention to Gabby, she is always with me if I am near the food cans. She never stops talking. Very sweet.

I need to band the pullets and get to know them. I think I have 10, isn't that awful. I don't even know. I will get pictures of them and get them identified.

hi RedBank the cock 1 hapy with his color that what I saw in the first photos. his comb is a little larger but free from defect .

I have seen a lot roosters from different lines in France with an over size comb even in the shows .

nice comb ( nice and small will complement the Cock 1)
nice long back.
pretty tail ,well formed and placed.
deep and wide chest.
well feathered feet.darker color complement the lighter shank of the roosters.

I like her Black is really black free from any other color.

you are in the right truck ,nothing will wrong when working with this sort of high quality stock. no muck culling to do. just refining .

I ll pair her with a cock 1 and expect perfection in they progeny.

I love to keep following the progress of this chooks .they have a lot to teach us about the real deal.
