I feed chicks medicated chick feed. When I have young ones mixed with the older birds I feed "flock raiser" for all ages. When everyone is laying, I put them on laying feed. I have taken the easy route. I throw scratch in the morning and evening.

is the most used method of feeding by the chooks keepers.

I struggle every day. I want to let them out. They grumble at me every time I walk by. I can hear them saying, let us out...... what is going on around here...... why are you so late opening the door?

this is one of the reason I like to have each coop with it own run . they can go in and out any time they like .

i have a lot of dog and the Fox as well in the farm . Harmony . I feed the fox too . he is wild but well behaved .

yeah I agree with you.

you need a birchen rooster . he will give you a great result with your English Silver cuckoo . because both are ER and Silver just a cuckoo have a extra barring gene that all .

Before I locked them up my chickens ate very little commercial feed. They free ranged all day and hardly paid attention to the feeders.

your chooks eat frogs ,snakes alligator and god know what else .

I don t think they need a commercial feed.

a problem with a wild animal they change they mind when they need too.they don t follow the scrip .

everyone should take into account place and condition where the chickens are. I live in a dry climate and have never had cocci. you live in a humid climate and I guess cocci is a threat for your chickens.
