Mario is Luna s father ?
nice comb and pretty red shoulder. .
yeah a straw hackle but a correct lancet back and shoulder color
ears tufts is on the darker side but not black . that ok.
nice dull black .
well colored shanks.
tail is a little longer . with a wind is hard to tell
wel colored eyes . nice orange color

he need mass.

Marco is all marans absolutely stunning .
great comb , face eyes ,wattles
great type ,chubby and long.
well colored .long back .
great tail form and shape .
great angle
nice shanks well feathered and properly colored .

What I see is not great is a copper shading on his hackle .not uniform coppery red .

he is a leeper for sure and will be a good breeders for sure.

DON t SAY THERE IS MARANS IN GREECE . i think they are over looked .

your Marco and his sister Luna are all marans and good one ..maybe few fault but it is not the end of the world .

mario is luna's father. he is about 11-12 mo. I asked about the weight as he is about 3 kg, probably a bit less. he usually has tapeworms so that might be a problem. his tail is a bit longer.

if he s 3 Kg at 12 month old with a tapeworms than he is correct .

his son marco look a big boy to me for his age .well healthy .

I was lucky to get a dark hen and mario, it is about the balance, right? the breeder I got them from didn't have so nice marans and the others don't have marans at all, remember the pic I posted? marco is going to be saved, just cannot stay here with me. I hope he will not change later as mario was similar at that age.

I will take better pictures today. One at a time and more controlled. I told you this second group had darker eyes so far. Not black though.... but not orange either. I will get a close up. I saw some blue eyed silver cuckoo chicks on Marans Aspiran..... I see what you mean. I will look for blue eyes in the future.

Blue or green eyes when young will give a gorgeous orange eyes when adult .
some thing we can select for early .

brown eyes and a black one they don t change they stay a same.

as there is a chance that luna's parents are full siblings marco is out of question.
