International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I saw this yesterday on the French Marans Club website but I thought it would not do me much good. I cannot read French. I do like your egg chart better than mine. Looks like my Cuckoos are laying a 2 on your chart.

if your cuckoos are laying a number 2 than they are not marans .

minimum 4 to be able to be called marans and able to breed from .

shame god know what they added to them .

I m actually writing a books . more of the work manual to be exact . name it . " my journey with a marans chooks "

is going to be great asset to any body who like a marans chooks .how to breed them ,rise them ,work with , genetic make up . genetic mapping . etc.............

plus half of it will be photos of gorgeous marans of all varieties .

good luck with hatching! you have very handsome roosters.

White Storm is my favorite rooster , he chat all the time ,well gentle with hens and a cockerels too .

always waiting for me at the door .

I like Chinatown too he is more reserve ..well in charge in the roosters pen .top dog ,good friend to White Storm .

the egg I saw where not number 2 .that why I though we can fix them and make some Birchen from you from them.

I ll ask Monique or Laurent to send you a French egg color chart .

the chart is not every thing .I m getting some egg color doesn t match nothing on the chart .

they are lighter . for sure
last photo they look good 3 color .

some thing for sure has been added to them or are badly selected over time . they body type is marans for sure . but who know what happen .

This is the egg chart from MCCUSA. It has no 1,2,3.
