International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

here a photos of the Blue copper chick that hatched from a Dominant White ( they are splash and Blue based chooks)

he is an asset to my breeding program, because he is a early feathering type .I have been looking for to create a early feathering strain . quality that BCM in Australia has lost .

even he hatched from a white strain he is darker blue.

the other 2 chicks are a Cream leg Bar boy ( left) and a Blue cuckoo ( grooming him self)
I need to get a better photo of the Blue cockerel .his Father SAMIR .his mama SOFIE. both dominant white .one dose each .but one of them is a splash and the other is blue copper..

if SAMIR is Blue than both hens are Splash .
if SAMIR is Splash than both hens are Blue
because Both hens hatched a blue chick.

here a Black copper pullet for him a same type .she is a daughter of Zambezi over Sumaya.I have 5 of the so far .that is a great hareem for my little boy .he has some growing to do first .lucky boy

one more blue hatched from the same rooster SAMIR with the second hen SARI. hopefully he is a boy .because Sari lay darker and larger eggs all the time . I want s cockerels from her.to create her line .she is the best of all the 7 dominant white hens I bought 2 years ago .

here the photo of the Blue chick

he has a darker face with a minimum white .love him/her

lovely chicks.

do I see a bit bigger comb on the last chick?

I will try to get some pics of all of my marans family.

I am testing the incubator. the manual has bad translations so I am in trouble a bit but at the moment the temperature goes 37,4-38. I had trouble to fix humidity but now it is 41-55. I remember that for the marans eggs the humidity should be around 45. what about the humidity when in lock down? I guess it should be bigger but how much?

I still didn't put any eggs.

It's hard . I have a really sweet rooster right now. Even the girls from his hatch group love him. I try to put them in the coop but they keep finding a way to be with their favorite guy. It's to the point where they are standing in the rain, in the dark, trying to get into where he is in the garage. Mr. Lee was working on his truck, so I go to hang out by the wood stove and offer my conversation. I ended up picking him up, chicken in the lap by a fire seems so natural. Anyways I am looking into his eyes and he seems so sweet, I wish I could do better by him. Something about him, he just seems like a cool dude, we are kindred spirits. I already have my 2 roosters. I do not need a third. But right then and there by the fire I decided I was going to 'do right' by him. Ever since he's been living the good life. He's got some girls in there right now he's hanging out with. Pure Oregano from youngliving ($$) in his water, some chick peas and leek onion mix for treats. Sometimes some birds just connect with you and others don't. Either way it's always hard to get rid of them. If you don't get rid of them though, that... can be even worse. Like me, putting all this energy into a rooster i dont need, for a reason I can't explain, with no logical plan of action for his near future.
tell me about that!

I have 5 roos, 3 cockerels and a bloody witch granny neighbor who has been cursing me and my everything. I rehomed only my avatar roo as he went to a neighbor who is not going to eat him and has a plot 3 times mine. it was hard but I did it for him. a beautiful and useless brahma mix roo has his air sacks damaged by canker but even he stays forever. I just hope to sell a house and buy some land somewhere else where I can keep more animals in peace.

thanks @Chooks man

here is jupiter (monique named him):

this is the best I could get between 2 showers.

I had less luck with the others.

these are marco and luna.

I am not going to post the other pics as they are not good (taken from the wrong angle).

he is a single barred impure .

he is good to use over a BCM to produce a pure golden cuckoo .
