1thanks @Chooks man
she is 5 weeks old so I have to wait. at the moment she has traces of colour only but it is straw yellow and not copper. she comes from my friend's eggs and he has 1 hen with straw hackles. she probably is her daughter. time will tell.
He is beautiful! I had a broody hatch 10 chicks. I ended up with 8 Blue Copper and 2 Black Copper. No splash!here my favorite Splash copper cockerel .son of Samir over Sari

I have just lost an araucana chick. we had t-storm 2 days ago and she got cold. the runt and the cockerel who had runny eye are fine (not perfect but fine).
my beautiful pullet with the copper hackles had an eye shut. I am too worried now. it might be from the feed that ended in her eye but after the loss of another chick I am not sure. in my first batch I had 6 marans and 5 araucanas. they are still together with the broody.

Thanks for posting this Chooks Man! I have 2 pullets with a few copper spots on their breast so I was wondering if this was a bad or good thing.
