@Hensndoes
both cockerels are equally nice now at this age .
both have a good and a bad things . a difference is witch fault it easier for you to work with ?
looking at them from this photos I can see Chester in the back is elegant , holding him self at the right pose not goofy .well put together .well colorful .his tail is at the max height ,but has a nice shape and form ( elegant too )
the tail angle get inherited from both parent but the shape and the form are sex linked . mean Chester,s daughters will have a thin pointed tail for sure ,but the angle will come from mama hen too . so chose wisely .
Chester mated to any BC hen/ ,even black one will yield a colorful elegant looking pullets . show quality
his under fluff is correct too ,not washed out .
the mass will come from the hen is going to be mated too .
Sue .is bigger ,has a nicer tail . lucking a good color .
problem I see on him are more of the sex linked . has to be mated to a specific hen to yield a nice and correct pullets .
comb problem is from both parent . the hen will help to fix than ,but still a lot culling .
Lighter under fluff . nightmare . he need very dark hen to fix that .but on the same time this dark hen will produce a black pullets .
base of his tail is showing a white under fluff . nightmare .
to work with this cockerel you need a pen full a faultless BCM hens to help you produce some thing acceptable .
So for you to make a chose .you have to look at your pen and see what sort of hens you have to breed with .
they are the one to tell you witch cockerel is better for them .
Chester s future mate is easier to find any where ..Big BCM hen with a well angled tail ,that all.
Sue s future mate is harder to find . big hen . well colored with a extra copper on her chest . faultless comb . darker under fluff and free from any parasitic white . gorgeous eyes .
find me this en please ????????????????????? good luck
chooks man
