If I get a nice Black Copper from my rooster and these hens. Could it fix my halo problem?

first of all ,if your rooster is related to your hens than all his son s will be halo.
if the hens are not related to your rooster ,than your chances of producing a well colour Black copper cockerels are higher .
have a look at your hens ,see witch one has a darker copper . she ll be the one to use to produce cockerels .

Man all i can say is dang, those are mighty fine Marans. I think i'm going to have to figure out how i can go about legally importing birds and eggs. You'll be the first one I call!!! As you say, Bravo my friend!

there is some great marans breeder in the USA .some lovely strain out there .some are pure from Monique Berte the French marans Breeder.

one day will be possible to export fertile eggs to the USA.

my Black tail Red marans cockerel. he is getting chunky and handsome .

I need to work on his hackle .too light , need to be darker as his shoulder and back . easy to fix .
he should be all uniform Red .

my Blue Tail Buff marans cockerel .he is felling up nicely ,slow maturing big dude .
love his colour pattern ,not finished yet ,still young .the contrast between the golden hackle and Saddle ,the Cherry colour shoulder and back , plus the rest of the body is uniform buff .
need to work on his rear under fluff ,is a little smoky ,should be more of cream.

he is little taller but with a great body type long and thick

I should meet this guy on sunday afternoon. he lives in korinthos, about 90 km from athens.

he got the eggs from 1 farm. I wonder if both these 2 are blue cuckoo:

hen looks blue. if the eggs are from the same farm I don't understand how come hens hatched blue and roos blue cuckoo.

yes they are both Blue cuckoos .
cuckoo pattern is very hard to see on the Blue hens .
both are solid Blue cuckoo . they have a darker hackle .

what I like about this rooster is the colour of his shanks .pinkish/white .caused by the cuckoo gene .
plus he has not any white feathers .great stuff .

I like this guy too. I will probably take him and the elegant guy + hens.
