International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

moved last night 74 eggs to the hatcher. this time I m using a same incubator as a hatcher .so the eggs will be be staying in the same machines . I want to calibrate those new incubator .8 of them all River ,same brand .
I want to find out if there is any different in keeping them in the same machine or transfering them into other one .

last night I changed the leg tag of the older chicks 18 days old now .
merged both group together as one large group .they are from a same pairing .so a same leg tag .
old one are 18 days old 40 healthy strong .and 30 young group 10 days old . all healthy . too. 2 chicks where romoved and put to sleep .leg problem

they are growing very fast .some gorgeous chicks in there for sure .happy man .

I took a count last night and have 47 Marans. That was after butchering 1 rooster and 3 cockerels. My goal is to narrow down at least 16 more. Hopefully more. We will see! Too many to feed all winter. I plan on keeping the best. Everything else will go!
 
Most of my Whites are yellowing with high tails. I do see 1 cockerel and 3 or 4 pullets the silver white with lower tails. I think all yellowing with high tails are going. These are bad pictures but will try and get better pictures later.

there is no point feeding the chooks you are not going to keep .
high tail is a good fault to cull for .short back ,bad comb .dark eyes , white earlobe . tall legs . narrow chest .
