I do like road trips. We are camping this weekend but could meet up in the next couple weeks. How far are you from Knoxville?

Around 2 hours or so.. maybe a little less. I wouldnt charge anything for the cockerels. You could have the crele and a white if you want them.

There is a book I was looking at on amazon and was thinking of buying. Check it out and see if that is what you are looking for.

You're very welcome! I will be glad the cockerels will be going to a good home. The creles are split to white which means they carry the recessive white gene. The white and cream/crele cockerels are also only cousins to one another and come off two white cock birds that are brothers but the hens each cock bird is penned with are unrelated. One cock bird is penned with solid whites and the other is penned with creams. That should help add some genetic diversity to your flock. The cream/crele cockerel will also add the recessive white gene into your cream legbar line.

The white cockerel over your cream hens will produce 100% crele/cream split to white offspring. The cream/crele cockerel over your cream hens will produce creams and some cream/creles. Only a fraction of those will be split to white.

Moved incubation #6 eggs into the hatcher .230 good out of 278 egg when into the bator .well impressed .let see how many eggs will really hatch . big hatch any way .
Golden Boy is the most fertile rooster I m working with ,he is on fire 30 eggs went in only 1 infertile . last hatch he has 24 chicks out of 34 eggs ,for his first time with a girls for 1 week .
Liza s eggs high fertility rate too .well pleased .paid a lot money for them .so I don t mind if I get some twin chicks ,hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Day Walker is getting better only lost 4 eggs this time ,he better do better ,he is penned with a best .24 went in 4 infertile .his chicks from last hatch with Shiva s and Unicorn are out off this world . stunning .long ,chunky and wide ,the best so far .

my 2 import cockerels .both with they leg ring .look cool .#1 and #2 .

the Blue copper is huge .both are showing copper coming through they hackle .
the BLC is showing shoulder pattern ,great stuff . look @ that stand on him .
what a gift .could not ask for more .

I have someone coming for 2 turkeys. Then I can start moving pens around and sorting keepers. I want my best Marans out of the back pen for winter. If a predator hit they would most likely hit one of the outer pens. Lots of work left leg banding. Figure out who I have left. Which ones to keep and logging it all.

tell me about leg banding . i m working with so many colours it is hard to not mix the thing up .
i take my time and do them during the night time ,very calm .
2 more weeks and I ll put the leg ring to my older group ,they will be 10 weeks old soon . afetr that no more changing leg tags .

there is a lot books out there .haven t red one for a long time .I read a lot article published by researchers or breeders .
I use a lot chicken genetic cuclculator .they help body pattern breeding ,you can actually move each gene and see the result .all the genes combination are there .
old articles about the Game Fowl breeders of the old days are the best .
I watch a lot Philipinos fowls breeders vedios in youtube .they know what they are doing when come to selecting they breeders .how they feed and look after 1000 of chicks .all Pedigree .impressive .
