She is long and thick correct body type. What coulor is her eggs

I caught her and brought her in the house. I am still unsure. I don't know if she is Birchen or BC! She has white on her head but some of Harvey's BC hens get a couple of white feathers with age. I really like her though. I may have to hatch from her to find out. I think what I seen in her hackles is dirt but not sure. This mystery has been bugging me for a long time.

I do like one of the eggs from the two Blcm in with the original BC rooster. It is round and fairly dark. I need to figure out which of the two is laying it. I am putting a few in the Incubator.

that is a good plan .find those 2 girls responsible for thoses gorgeous round eggs and move then with Blaze. so they will throw only BC and BLC not Splash .

move her to Nimbus pen and see what eggs she is laying.
even if she is birchen ,if mated to Nimbus all her pullets progeny will be BC . when they are fully grown ,you can breed them to Nimbus again or other BC cockerel .

I really like her type .she should be bred just for that trait .

Interested to see peoples opinions on my favorite BCM boy George. He's 12 weeks old and of the 4 boys I have I think he's the best one. These are the best pictures I have of him. Its not easy taking them yourself when the whole group is more interested in running around doing chickens things instead of cooperating for a photo shoot.

Will Birchen keep popping up? Will it add white to the BC? Can you go into more detail?

you said you don t really know if she birchen or BC .best way to find out is to mate her to a BC or BLC to see .
if she is BC than the is no problems .but is she is birchen you will know .plus all her pullets progeny will be BC .those pullets if bred back to BC rooster they will throw all BC .will be some Yellow leakage on some of the cockerels . pullets from this line are all good to work with .not the cockerels .

I think if you catch the 2 BLC hens responsible for the dark eggs you are finding in they pen and move them with Blaze . than your problem will go away .
your BLC hens have excellent body type ,mated to Blaze will give you a lot BC you are looking for .

she is stunning .correct long body type .} need to see how wide she is from the rear and front}.
correct long flat back .
correct long neck and good head gorgeous eyes.
correct hackle marking and gorgeous copper quality .
correct tail { a little longer } correct angle 45 degrees .
correct leg size ,color and good feathering .
correct plumage type { not loose ,well tight to the body }
correct under fluff . pure black ,I can not see any white or grey .

this pullet is from a good stock for sure .where does she come from ?

he is a big boy .
good body type ,
good color coming through the hackle /wings .
good head and comb
,well feathered legs and well colored .
but very bad tail .too high . will be big and high when fully grown .
we are looking for a short full tail @ 45 degrees angle .
where they come from ? do you have any pullets ?
