he is not awful . who said that . he has a lot good stuff going for him . his feet feathering look better than the first cockerel
only bad thing I will say about him ,his head has too much white . but good comb .good eyes . love his vigor . look sharp .
give him time they change so much next few months .

not because he has extra white on his face he is bad dude , I ll mark in my book but I will not eliminate the chick .
I look for body type and body pattern { colour first in the cockerel ,the rest will come after }
he has a good body type and good head with a gorgeous comb .
his tail maybe a little higher ,keep your eyes on it .

I was afraid of that with the last hatch. I was sure that was happening and they grew in fine. Im expecting these ones to do the same.

Chooksman, I was told in this line the white hackle fluff will show before 6 months. White in foot can show after a year. Hope this helps.

Ok .but it is there ,regardless when they show it .
to eliminate this problem ,the great chooks breeders only breed from the adult stock 2 years old and over . after the true adult molt ,to see if any thing is in place .
breeding from young stock is just worst of time .cost me 1000 and 1000 of dollars { lucky it is OZ dollar not US other wise I ll homeless by now } from 680 hatched .200 died . regardless who much I did look after them ,from young stock ,
never do it again .

don t worry .you want to breed your BCM line ,so welcome to the club .nothing is going to be easy , but can be enjoyable experience and rewarding result .
what you have now is some body else bird .you have to make them yours . by fixing what wrong with them .

look what @kfelton0002 is dealing with .many hard problem .
we will fix this problem ,I was not aware of it .
@kfelton0002 got ready of Prince because of the white on his hackle fluff .

you should kept the white marans ,every thing on them is white ,very simple hahahaaaaaaaaa
you are going to breed BC .chill out let it be joy ,you have nice chooks ,yeah they have few problems so what .

we fix a problems with each generation . one day all the bad stuff will be bred out . not rocket Science just proper selective breeding .
NO MORE PEN BREEDING .
single mating is the way to go . correct Science not speculative approach .

Blaze can go . you need space for the young stock ,we have to keep few of them to get older .so you need to get ready of the one we don t need .
you have a healthy number of young chicks ,so don t rush them too early . Cull of BLC cockerels , keep only few BLC pullets with nice hackle marking .the rest can go .
keep BC to select from .

you need to get ride off some of old stock to make room for the young stock .
60 is very large and healthy number .we will cull as any major fault appears .

you only a stunning trio or 2 pairs to restart again . they have to be as close to SOP as possible . I think it is possible with your chooks .
we only have to watch for the parasitic white . that is not bad .
