International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

Not the best pics but this 3.5 month old pullet keeps catching my eye - there is just something about her. She has incomplete hackle marking but what is there is a nice rich copper.

Yes, same pullet...pics taken a few minutes apart today. In the second pick her tail is lower and angled toward me making it look shorter. I’m looking forward to watching her mature. I’m starting to notice similarities between certain birds (males and females) so I think I’m understanding who may be full and half siblings.

great you are noticing the similarity in a traits {sibling or half sibling }
yes I like the pullet very much ,super chunky and long .
half hackle marking is caused by a sire rooster lucking the chest marking . or mother hen with less hackle marking or both .

And the pullets.
There are 10 total. I tried to get all of them but not sure.

3 with red bands are from line #1 and are a month older than the rest who are from line #2.

Okay all, picture heavy post of my three chosen cockerels.

This is what i have to work with. I put 2 into the freezer leaving Negan as the only cockerel from line #1. He has the red band on his leg.

The other two are the only cockerels from line #2. They have no names yet.
