International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

so this one she is not F2 cross .
her comb is better than all the other pullet for sure ,still a little big but it is workable . straight no many extra points ,clear lobe free from any sprig .
complete hackle marking with gorgeous copper ,
she is not as thick as the others plus her legs are clean . but we can breed cockerels with better comb from her for sure .

Her sire is Seamus
Her dam is #12,3 hens

I think the mother of this one is a hen from line #2 because she is different from the other pullets witch they are for sure from line #3 hens ,it is a reason they combs are very big and all over a place because they are unbred .

this is your best pullet 100% we only need to fix the comb in her progeny . love every thing about her ( not the comb ) I ll give her 9/10 .
we can breed pullets and cockerels from her . that how you want your marans to look like in the future with a nicer combs and than they will be 10/10 perfect marans . Like Monique ( the marans Queen of France )

her sire is Seamus and her Dam is a hen from line #1 .#2 or #3 ?
she is good in all traits except her comb is weak ,badly designed plus her eye are not bright orange . love her complete hackle marking and the quality of her rich copper .
do not breed cockerel from her except if she lay dark eggs ,you can breed pullets from her that will be fine but not cockerel .
she is not cockerels dam .
she is a pullets Dam , because pullets will inherit a lot sex linked genes from they sire ,so they will not look like her .

I had Seamus in with all hens. I only know which pullet is Judith's.

I will make a note that she is not a cockerel dam.

Thank you

Oh I like this one a lot lovely eyes and supreme body type ,very long and think ,close to the ground ,lightly leg feathering .
her weakest points are .her comb is all over the place and her hackle marking is not complete .
her sons will be big and thick will lovely orange bright eyes but they will have horrible comb for sure .
I have to go threw all the pullets first ,than I will see witch one we will breed cockerels from her .
all your pullets can breed pullets from , but not all of them we can breed cockerels .
cockerels are hard to breed .

Yes, she has almost no copper.
I enjoyed taking these pictures. I was able to notice things i would not have without getting close to them.

we will breed from this one because she is unique , the last one from line #1.
she look better in those photos holding her tail low and her back seem to be flat and long . good eyes too .
her weakest point are her comb and extra leg feathering .. I like the thickness of her body ,solid hen for sure .what colour are her eggs ?
if you have photos of her mama Judith can you post them please ,I want to see what she inherited from her and what she inherited from her sire Seamus.
knowing the mother helps a lot .

They are just starting to lay so Im not sure on who lays what egg yet.

I will try to find photos of Judith. She looks a lot like her.

She is a beauty.
In outside light, her copper is even nicer.
