First hatch of the year! Chicks tha are ou looking good so far. My daughter pushed for lots of splash this year, so I hope people want splash

I have what are supposed to be BCMs. When we hatched a batch of 14, we had 2 whitish/yellowish chicks. Would those be wheaten? I'm asking here because I see your yellow chick from the dark brown eggs. All of our eggs have been a good dark brown.

If you are breeding BC to BC then they are probably recessive white. I have had BC through recessive white in the past.

If you are breeding BC to BC then they are probably recessive white. I have had BC through recessive white in the past.

I also have gotten recessive white from mine, the ones my husband picked up fom greenfire carried recessive white in the blue silver line.

It s 2 weeks today since the chooks arrived at the new place . I let them out for the first time this afternoon. They hung around the hen house dusting them selves in the dirt . Here few photos

Please take this for what it is worth and do your own research! I went to the feed store today. I talked to the guy that orders supplies for the store. He said they are slowly taking away wormers and bug sprays for farm animals. I believe him because the lice spray I use is no longer available. A lot of items they already can't get anymore. They are making it to where you can't get any antibiotics for farm animals without a prescription from a vet. That starts in June. Tylan powder already needs a prescription at least here. If you need anything it's best to buy it now. If you can find it!

Rashad silver/ golden dark cuckoo correct and gorgeous body type long and low to the ground with a lovely small correct tail . His body is long like a brick very deep chest and flat long back . The way they should be .

He is the one I selected to put over a solid black hens to send they eggs to Monique France but the hens are minting right now . No eggs.

Finally moved the marans out from the silkies and into the pen with my layers. This morning, I got my first egg from one of them, not sure which. Not as dark as the eggs they hatched from, but I though the first eggs were the darkest. Could they get darker as she works everything out (and as they get bigger)?
