International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I know for myself, chicks with too much white on their face I usually do not keep. It tends to mean they are more sensitive to parasitic white.

I use mesh bags or a divider in the incubator to separate at hatch and tag as I take them out.
we see how the pullets turn out .
like I said to you in previous post I m interested to find great looking cockerel/s to breed to your best hens ( you have few in ther ) to produce next year pullets.
we don t breed a same thing year in year out .we use different breeding program to produce what we need and fix the trait we want to fix .ever year we breed differently

Hello, questions on hatching BCM eggs. What are the opinions on supporting them during the hatch, either in a carton or tray?
What is the consensus on 30-40% humidity or dry hatch?

I have an incubator that holds them upright and one that lays them on their side. I have not noticed a difference in hatch rates with either.

The darker the egg, the less humidity.

This is my experience. Others may chime in with theirs :)

There is a lot thing I like about this hen just need better photos .
Correct photos angle is very important we are going to take very important decision about this chooks .
This hen look like she has long back , gorgeous tail. Well developed rear( abdomen ) good head . Her chest is not deep make look like she has triangle V shape body type.
