Is caused by hatching problems and the plastic on the hatcher . The chicks when they hatch they can t have a grip to activate they toes properly .It could be.
But also had a few chicks that had a hard time hatching. The last chicks that struggle from high humidity.
After they hatch, they seem to take a longer time getting up and walking around. Could this cause the toe to bend?
I'm guessing she was probably one. But it's only an assumption.
I don't get many with a wonky toe but every once and a while it happens.
I would think if it were genetic or vitamin deficiency I would see a pattern or more chicks with this problem.
The few times I've caught it and taped the toe flat. The next morning I take the tape off and the toe is straight.
