International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

I forgot.
I picked up 2 pullets while there too. A couple of weeks older than my grow out pullets. Because why not?

Their so much wider and stocky than my skinny narrow ones.

I need to see their egg color though.

great stuff I like them they will help us to advance our breeding program. The pink she is like a tank solid bird.
If every thing goes alright with LS young son the chunky one ( name him GreatSong) than we will pair him to this 2 pullet to create new line.
You have done great happy for you my friend .

I was thinking the same.
Tomorrow I will get some more photos of Greatsong.

I feel like I just saved myself a few years of breeding and heavy culling.

Even just 1of these new cockerels helps out a lot.

@Punkybrewster in this photo his legs look good .
I think he is moving so his legs are not at the same standing point so they look bent in .
best photo will be on the roosting bar like the other 2 . both legs at the same standing point .
his comb has last 2 points forming M not well spread .nething to worry about .
check him out well please .we don t want to miss any thing , those cockerels are our way out of troubles
