This guy is an 18 month old black silver I have in the bachelor group. He's got some saddle patterned feathers on his thigh? Is that what I'm seeing here?

On my screen I can’t tell if there’s something stuck to his feathers instead. You’ll know better seeing it in person. Welsummer have patterns like this on them by breeding, maybe something similar is going on genetically.

a couple of SDWs for reference what I mean (they have mottled breasts too).

Egg photo dump. I’m not sure if this is still three or maybe now four pullets. The indoor lighting is cool and unflattering to the paler eggs.
That first one in outside light was on the floor, making me wonder if it’s a new one.

I don’t know, maybe he's 10 months, but he has spurs that make me think over a year. He's got such a baby face.
he has pure silver and lot of it .complete pattern ,not easy to achieve ,Bravo again ,
the comb still a problem arched type plus the frost doesn t help .
chooks man

I've been trying to get proper pics of the boys lately but our weather isn't cooperating. Next week we've got a warmup and I'll get proper overalls of each of the 7 cockerels . I snapped a bunch this afternoon as a preview, and appreciate any comments on what can be seen...good or bad.

I've got 12 BCMs boys total all sired by Kong, with these first 7 I'm selecting down to the best 3 for now. The other 5 are much younger. I didn't take individual pics of each one yet, except this one...mostly group shots of what I'm working with if anyone sees anything that stands out.

This guy here is W/R... hatched 6/19, 28 wks. I have a soft spot for him so grabbed quite a few pics of him. Love his nice copper, but should I be concerned about that tail?
I haven't seen him getting picked on but it looks shredded... one of the roosts does angle into the wall, so maybe he's roosting in that spot where his tail is crammed into the wall. I'll look into this.

Dam's egg color.

Took a couple pics of this dude also, but he's mostly cold, puffed up and droopy tail. W/B hatched 7/8, 25 wks (son of Raven, who is also the grandmother to w/r boy above)
Dams egg color.. Raven (middle)

Copper not as nice, with a halo, ugly comb and wattles. Nice stance tho and he does carry a nice low tail. Is this feather shafting in the chest?
