Introducing baby rooster to baby chicks

I have a 12 baby chicks (barred rock) that are 6 days old and an opportunity to get a 5wk old orpington rooster. Is the rooster going to harm the baby chicks if I mix him in this early?

AND

1. When they are older, If the rooster and hen are different breeds, Is it the rooster that determines what breed the egg will be when hatched?

Or is it the hen that determines what breed the egg will be even hatched?

I would slowly introduce. Watch how they act.

The offspring will be mixed.
