Hi all,
I've visited BYC for a while and finally decided to join. Although I'm young, I have lots of experience with these wonderful birds. This is my 4th year with chickens, and their family is very, very blended. We have 5 Reds, 3 Blacks (don't know the breed but they're black with green shiny feathers, love them to pieces!), 2 Speckled Sussex, one Delaware, one Spangled American Game Bantam, and a Cochin rooster. Many of them are old girls since we like to buy them from auctions and "save them" in a way (many people treat their birds awfully, seeing them as egg factories or dinner, rather than lovely animals). My Speckles are personally my favorites, because of how social they are. They're almost twins, hard to tell them apart.
Well, there's me and my flock. Glad to be a part of BYC!
