Is $150 a hen fair for show Brahmas?

Did you do any research on the awards shown here...or are you just going by the pics they sent you?
I was there when he got the rewards he got two champion large fowls in one weekend in two shows one of which was the biggest in texas with hundreds of LF chickens. I've done a lot of research on the breeders near me and asked other people on them. Him and my hen's breeder are apparently the best in the region. I'm trying to get ahold of my hen's old breeder but I don't think she has bred anything this year last time I talked she wasn't able to get any to breed.

But she might be able to give an opinion on this other breeder.

But sounds like he's just not some pic poster online,
so guess it's down to what you want to invest in show birds.

The cheapest part of owning any animal is the purchase price. It is always my practice to get the best animals I can, and if that means spending that much money on what is a sure thing (adult or near adult show quality birds) then by all means it is likely a bargin. Hatching eggs from those lines certainly doesn't mean you will only get birds that meet the standard. You're buying birds that have been grown on and DO meet the standard. In my opinion, if those are the birds you want and you want to exhibit, buy them.
It costs me over $100 to raise a large breed rooster to maturity.

She's personally bought chickens from him. She's told me he is a good breeder before when I bought my chickens from him. I've seen his chickens win stuff at shows many times so he definitely isn't a pic poster he's been doing it for 20 years. As @TheFatBlueCat said it does cost a lot to feed them and tend to them

Then......
it's down to what you want to invest in show birds.
