Is a heat source needed?

@Emelyn and @CKfarm22 Take this argument somewhere else.
This thread was about a sick bird that has now died.
We weren't arguing. We were just expressing our different experiences with bedding. We both respect each other's opinions (hopefully) we'll stop "arguing"

What bruce said.. maybe not the bedding but other things can heat up and catch on fire. I wouldn’t want your chickies getting hurt :(
That's a really good point! Next time I'll try adding a little less bedding where the heat lamp is just in case something like that happens (I can't remove it completely since my ducks love to sleep where the heat lamp is so if I do remove the bedding they'll sleep outside in the cold and I'll be wasting electricity for no reason)

@Emelyn and @CKfarm22
Y'all miss the point that you are disrespecting the OP's topic of a sick bird that died.
Not every thread is the place for debate/discussion/or whatever you want to call it.
@Emelyn commented that they can buy/reuse a heat lamp and i said that heat lamps aren’t safe for coops. It’s literally it. Jeez
