Is a heat source needed?

I have bedding but it didn't burn up from the heat

What bruce said.. maybe not the bedding but other things can heat up and catch on fire. I wouldn’t want your chickies getting hurt

That's a really good point! Next time I'll try adding a little less bedding where the heat lamp is just in case something like that happens (I can't remove it completely since my ducks love to sleep where the heat lamp is so if I do remove the bedding they'll sleep outside in the cold and I'll be wasting electricity for no reason)

@Emelyn commented that they can buy/reuse a heat lamp and i said that heat lamps aren’t safe for coops. It’s literally it. Jeez
