Is animal control gonna do anything?

Probably wasn't the cat,but I would trap and do something with it anyway.AC is unlikely to do anything about a roaming cat.Can not prove it killed.Better to just take care of the animal yourself.

that secondary AF base looked interesting that and a topographic map of near you is kina interesting as well It looks like whatever is out there would have to have a water supply that would probably be the best bait there is just secure all the water and place a bowl of water in the trap

Someone said it could have been chick violence. The youngins seem to be starting a pecking order already, the two with the booboos are avoiding eachother.. The splash chases away the blue with the swollen face, the blue appears to be at the bottom of the pecking order.

Still the cat needs to shoo. Their husky was hanging around the house and no matter how many times mom and I yelled at the dang thing it didn't move. It was scaring the chickens through the fence so I had to resort to using a water jet.. Hose.. Thing. It left.

Let me get this straight. You're complaining because the neighbors' cat is near your fence scaring your chickens, and the neighbors walk near your fence causing the dogs to bark. So long as they're not on your property, you have nothing to complain about. If the dogs' barking bothers you, train them not to bark, and your chickens are going to just have to get used to the cat being near the fence. If the cat comes on your property, that's a whole nuther story.

It has come on my property. They had another cat that would bother my LF and that cat was pretty big, it had longhair and a calico coat. It went into the coop around evening time, before I was able to lock the flock up (because of dinner and washing dishes). I believe it got up on top of the coop from a fence that also belongs to a neighboring house/property that no one lives in. It stopped coming around.
Now they have another black cat that is not as fat looking and is bugging my bantams. I don't mind if the cat is near my property, as long as it doesn't bother anything or pee on anything, but when it goes over the fence then it's too far.

Those folks make the dogs bark but it's always at night, so when I come downstairs the dogs always stop. It's like the dogs are teasing me.

When I say "make", I mean the people that do something to my fence or tell my dogs to "shutup". I caught kids poking my dogs with sticks through the trailer gate agitating my dogs!
Makes me mad when the parents have no knowledge of it. Ergh, deliquents.

I bought live traps from TSC and I put them out now and again, instead of waiting until something happens. Our local animal control told me if I caught a cat & seemed wild I could kill it or if I did not want to kill it or it had a collar they would pick it up, try to find the owner and if they wanted pet back they have to pay $70. Traps were like $30. work great!!
