Is anyone else interested in cars and motorsport?

stock car racing originated in the moonshine trade. The 'rum runners' souped up their cars to outrun the law. In the 50s and 60s they build tracks, running in circles for 500 miles, go fast and turn left.
In the 70s they went mainstream. In the 80s and 90s they were at their zenith. Race on Sunday, buy on Monday kind of deals. The racecars resembled what was at the dealership.
Stroker Ace with Burt Reynolds is pretty descriptive.
As is Days of Thunder with Tom Cruise.
I see, very interesting!

So terrible for the ozone layer. Could electric cars be used? Can you make a drag car with a Toyota prius?
F1 is nearly all electric these days.
On a few liters of gas they run a whole race, because every action in the car generates electricity. NASCAR is working toward the hybrid car in the future.
I am sure there are ways to create a dragster with electric means as well.

Wow. D60's under an s10 frame. Did you narrow them or stay wide and let it ride? Do you crawl with that rig?

They are wide, street legal in my state but other states it wouldn't pass inspection lol. Where I live not really any areas to crawl, we mostly mud ride.

As for electric drag racers

They are cool and fast but I still miss the rumble and smell of a large cube inch engine.

We love classic cars.....and my husband comes from a family that loves to drag race. His father regularly took his 66 Chevy II to the tracks around Texas. Sadly, he recently passed but the car stayed in the family (with hubby's brother). The hubby is about finished restoring his grandfather's 60 Chevy Apache truck. (and I bought the fun car - all original 76 Corvette Stingray. It's not fast, but it is pretty.)

I'm big into formula. I watched a formula E race a couple weekends ago and had to turn the sound down. I don't think I could handle the sound in person.
I like to Restomod old 3 wheelers
This is my pride and joy.
Started as a bare frame

1986 honda atc250r bored to 265
CT Racing high Rev pipe and silencer
38mm Airstryker carb
V Force 3 reeds
Head Decked and oringed
Upgraded Hinson clutch
400 ex rear brakes
Lowered 2.5" in front
Lowered 3" in rear
10" custom front rim (instead of 11" front )
Flat track hoosiers and dirt knobbies
Hyper carbon fiber ultralight wheels
2nd set of aluminum beadlocks
+4" wider rear axle
Runs on 110 leaded and Klotz Super Techniplate 2 stroke castor oil (ohh that smell )
Too much compression to kick must be pull started
One heck of an on the edge of death experience. The Powerband with that pipe is like a light switch.
Nobody and I mean nobody else rides it.

Been a 2 stroke lover all my life. Although the 350x is 4 stroke I still loved it with its torque
