Is anyone using their feathers?

I recently made a little chicken out of feathers and a foam form i made.I painted the face put on wiggy eyes and tons of small feathers.My youngest Gd saw it and claimed it ,well they put it on their Christmas tree and when my dh and i were over there babysitting i noticed the dog chewing on something,yep u guessed the chicken well some feathers missing found 1 eye..............to sum this up chickie no more and told dil to not worry if she sees an eye in dog duty! Merry Christmas to all!You byc people keep me a little sane.

How do you shampoo and dye the feathers and them come out looking perfect?

I wash each one by hand,in my hand,lay on a towel to dry and shape them by running finger down the feather.I have never dyed.

Does anyone know where I can sell my peacock feathers? I have collected them for several years & need to get rid of them. They are stuck everywhere in the basement!!
