I'm loosing hens with impacted crops (2 in last week) last one had bacterial infection vet said, was wondering about putting B12 in their water? To help aid the rest of my flock, I now only have 12 (5 about 4 1/2m) rest are btwn 1 1/2- 2 1/2yrs
How much would you recommend, I think I also have 2 older ones going through molt, unsure, just want to try to help them the best I can by maybe boosting their immunity!

You have another thread going as well.
You saw a vet and they said something about infection?
What type of infection?

What do you feed your birds including treats?
Do you provide grit (crushed granite)?

B12 is Cobalamin did the vet recommend B12 or was it perhaps B-Complex? There's a difference. I think you need to make some clarifications with the vet.

For molting birds, provide a nutritionally balanced poultry feed. An All Flock Feed or Chick Starter would give sufficient protein. Poultry Vitamins given a couple of times a week wouldn't hurt.
