Thanks, everybody! Yes, these are our first chickens, and my daughter is learning so much and enjoying them every day
. The one we were sold as a Barred Rock does have yellow legs, but there is quite a bit of black on them as we'll, especially in front. Marans are brown egg layers, too though, right? So as long as she's a she, we'll be just as happy.
Any boys will not be rehomed, but processed for our table. I'll be doing it myself if it comes to it, so I've been reading up, just in case.
