Is bumble foot common? Worried about rooster!

I agree, I would try the aspirin to see if that makes a difference. I'm going to guess this time he injured it if he's been showing his behind.

It wouldn't hurt to offer him some poultry vitamins that contain B2 (Riboflavin) Poultry Cell or similar would be good.

Thanks for the video! He's a big boy!

If I have a bad limper, I isolate for a day or so.

From my notes:
If limp is really bothering them by inhibiting their normal activities too much, I will isolate them in a crate to 'force' rest for a day or two. Letting them out late in day, an hour before roost time, to give them a stretch and evaluate their mobility, then decide if they need another day and put them back in crate off roost after dark. Repeat stretch and eval the next day until they are better. Keep crate in coop so bird can remain 'with' the flock.

I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.....
.....might need a bigger crate for your boy, and if he's as aggressive as you say(he was trying to get at you in the vid?) he might not tolerate being confined and hurt himself worse.

Yeah he is his own worst enemy, but he thinks I did it to him of course :bow

I honestly almost isolated him in one of those big wire foldable dog crates just like you're talking about but he is so hostile and I thought the same thing, him being angry or dramatic he would probably reinjure himself. Yes he was trying to get me in the video lol . My dominate hen gets so mad at him when he tries to get me.

Might be worth a try anyway, grab him off roost at night and stick him in crate.
Putting him the pot night be even better.

Eh, I wouldn't put up with an aggressive bird....and he hurt himself by being aggressive.
I know I think I'm his only hope. Sucks bc we bonded a whole year. Then I got him hens :ththen he turned crazy. He stays in his run. Only supervised free time on nice days. But I do have to carry a broom and he spurs it like a dummy and hurts himself :fl

Not a healthy livestock situation....I hope you're the only one at risk.
